If you are considering investing your hard-earned money into an AtGames product, you might want to think twice. While their hardware promises a great retro arcade experience, their backend infrastructure and customer support tell a completely different story.
Here is why you should avoid doing business with AtGames:
Broken On-Device Ecosystem: I had reported that the built-in storefront (the AppXStore) on the actual pinball machine failed to work, forcing users to find alternative workarounds just to buy games. However the workarounds from the e-store don’t even work on this model.
Conflicting and Misleading Guidance: When the on-device store fails, customer service may direct you to purchase codes from their online e-store—only for you to find out later that those e-store codes won't actually work on your machine. When you try to buy them from the machine again as instructed, the network fails repeatedly. I attempted this for the first week for the promotional “first week deals of 50% off”. When I brought this up to customer service they never rectified the issue, and now that I am out of the 7 days promotional period they refuse to honor the sale!
Zero Accountability for Network Failures: If you miss out on a promotional price or discount window because their servers and their network were experiencing roadblocks, AtGames will not honor the sale. Instead of fixing the issue, they blame the customer for "waiting too long," completely ignoring a week's worth of correspondence proving the technical errors were on their end.
Rigid and Unhelpful Support: Even when a customer is actively trying to give the company more money, support refuses to provide simple, reasonable solutions like issuing a discount code or offering an alternative installation method.
The Bottom Line: AtGames suffers from systemic company deficiencies, a severe lack of reliable technical support, and ongoing network problems. Save yourself the immense headache and frustration—don't spend a dime on a company that makes it this difficult to enjoy their products.
