Legends Pinball HD

Was in the first wave of buyers for the HD ALP. You know... the ones that helped the company grow and develop. The fact that they still sell the HD is embarrassing. Nothing new has been released for the HD since the 4K dropped.

Besides being stuck with only older pinball games, we used to have the option for CoinOpsX to load games onto this thing, but that was taken away with the last and final update they gave the HD users. Essentially crippling the only worthwhile feature on your device.

I've also had to purchase and replace my own motherboard (one month out of warranty, mind you). Countless others have had issues with other physical components, too. I had to disassemble the control panel to replace it, then they recommended I "hot glue" the components to prevent them from rattling around. Wish I was joking.

If I could go back in time I would have never bought the HD ALP. I'm relatively tech savvy, but the product just seems to lack in all departments. While it does provide that "fun factor" when friends come over to play it, it has ultimately sat in the dark for months on end since the death patch was released that killed CoinOps.

I know nothing is going to change in how they move forward as a company. I don't need them to. This is for someone considering the HD because it's cheaper - don't. And to be honest, if you are into pinball this much and are willing to do this much electrical work, you could build your own for half the cost.

I bought my machine about 6 months after it came out. I was going to try to build one myself but, when I saw the preview and price of this thing, I had to get it.
I bought almost all of the tables for it and use it connected to a PC as well as upgraded to the game controller and I have 16gb of vertical arcade games installed as well.
Being paranoid has apparently worked out for me, reading the other comments. I registered all the games to the machine instead of my account and haven't updated the system in a couple of years - I probably never will now. It runs flawlessly with no lag or login. I'm not on line but, I never really wanted that anyway. Love my machine.

Same as title I'm waiting to buy the legends hd machine are more being produced

Machine works great and was easy to setup. There is tons of different pinball games to choose from. It is a great addition to go with the Legends arcade machine we already have.

Love the legends pinball HD. I wish it had the same tables options as the 4k. It would be nice if Zen studios made tables for the pinball legends HD and not only the 4k
