I purchased my Addams Family 4KP online from Sam's Club, and like other buyers I was prompted with an unskippable update that required an order ID. (The Sam's Club order number did not work) I thought that this was very unfair that I was penalized for purchasing my pinball from an alternate retailer. I opened a support case and let weeks go by... Eventually, I just reset the machine hoping that AtGames either remedied my ticket without replying, or removed the restriction. And guess what? It works now! I was able to apply the update and get started.
Although this was extremely frustrating, it was well worth the wait. I thought about deducting one or two stars for this, but once I started buying and playing the tables I really wanted (The Zen Pinball Williams packs are amazing) my irritation subsided and the fun started. And let me tell you... it's fun as heck! The cabinet is solid with beautiful art. The graphics and sound are outstanding. The flipper latency appears to be fixed everywhere - I haven't had a single issue on any table. The addition of allowing offline play is a big step in a positive direction. I've already donated a couple hundred dollars to AtGames for additional tables, and I want to make certain I can play them whenever I want - even if AtGames servers are down or my internet flakes out. Make sure to take a backup of your tables on an FDX USB with your tables set to offline mode! I love my new pinball machine so much, I purchased another for my niece and nephew for Christmas. Hopefully they won't have to open a support ticket and wait weeks until they can start purchasing tables and enjoying.
@AtGames - Please work on your support system and practice fair consumerism. If you do, you've got a winner on your hands, as well as life-long customers. I guarantee it!
