The QuadPlay Control Panel is a four-player wireless arcade controller that works with all Legends Arcade Family devices and can be used as a drop-in control panel for Legends Ultimate 1.1 (300 games version) and 1.2 (300 games version).
The Legends QuadPlay™ features the following:
- Drop-in arcade control panel for Legends Ultimate 1.1 (300 games version)
- USB and Bluetooth support for use with all Legends Arcade Family and other devices
- Four eight-way digital joysticks
- Arcade-quality action buttons
P1 and P2 feature six action buttons each
- P3 and P4 feature four action buttons each
- Optional center-mounted arcade-quality trackball (not included)
- Instruction Manual
- Artwork Die-cut
This game controller loses connectivity continually and has to be re-paired with the core on every usage. The legends gamepads are the same....losing faith in atgames.
Got my QuadPlay around release time and I love it. I installed some Velcro straps on my cabinet to make it a lot easier to swap between the original control panel, the GamerPro, and now the QuadPlay. Buttons and Joysticks are the same high quality as always and the design is large enough that everyone can fit perfectly around the machine without being shoulder to shoulder. If the trackball is a must for you the installation is very easy. I actually took the trackball out of my GamerPro since that's mainly my VS fighting game sticks and put it in the QuadPlay.
I took off a star for two reasons, however. The design is great, but it would be nice if it still had spinners. That way this would be a full replacement and there would be far less need to swap out Control Decks as often. Secondly is because ATGames Legends devices don't have enough four player games to warrant this purchase at all. QuadPlay is really only for the BYOG or OTG features.
I use it with my Retro Shooter Pandoras Box set up and it works great. Unfortunately it is not compatible with my older ALU because it can't be physically installed but I could use it with one of my AL Core systems if desired.
This would be perfect as there are quite a few 3 and 4 player games out there that my family and I love (Simpsons, TMNT, Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, X-Men, etc.) but not being able to retain the spinners and pinball buttons is a deal breaker for me. You're downgrading while you're upgrading. And interchanging the the control decks seems like a bit of a nuisance. This should be an improvement over the original in every way. I don't mind transferring the trackball from the 2 player control deck to the 4 player to help save the company money (which could be passed on to us) which I've seen YouTubers do very seamlessly. Maybe there can be an option to do the same with the spinners and pin ball buttons in an improved version. We need a 4 player control deck to essentially have everything the 2 player control deck has and MORE!
I was about to order Intel they added 35 for shipping, and when are you all coming out with the upgraded processor
